Lucknow: In a bizarre incident from UP, shredded currency notes were found on a highway. The incident sparked a discussion on social media.

According to reports, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 500 rupee notes were found along the Kanpur highway, near Meduwa village in the Araul police station area. The incident caused a lot of confusion. As the news spread, SDM of Bilhaur and other senior police officers arrived at the scene to examine the situation. They collected the shredded currency in three bags and transported it to the police station. Cops are now trying to find out if the notes are real or counterfeit. The investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, villagers believe that the notes fell off a passing vehicle. Some were suspicious and believed that someone might have discarded their black money. The news stirred a discussion online too. Netizens swiftly commented on the incident, making guesses and drawing their theories. Others saw humour in the situation and decided to crack jokes.

“This shredded currency is basically used to recycle old torn notes and make new notes. This is a legal process which is conducted by RBI Kanpur. The shredded currency might have fallen on the road from a truck transporting it to Kanpur,” said one.

Another commented, “Interesting puzzle to solve.” One netizen opined, “Children’s bank ke note honge.” Another commented, “They should have given it to me.” A netizen wrote, “There will still be someone who will say, ‘are bhai chal jayega yeh’.”
