The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan amended the resolution «On measures to ensure the economic security of the Kyrgyz Republic» dated January 13, 2023.
The document has been supplemented with the Paragraph 1-1:
- Establish that this resolution does not apply to commercial banks, exchange offices, microfinance and microcredit companies licensed by the National Bank to conduct exchange transactions with foreign currency in cash.
The resolution comes into force ten days after the date of official publication. The document was published in Erkin Too newspaper on August 6.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers imposed a temporary ban on the export of foreign currency in cash from the country until a corresponding decision is made. In case of export of cash U.S. dollars in the amount exceeding $10,000 by residents and citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, a fee of 10 percent of the amount exceeding the established limit will be charged.
